NSK Lead 2026

written by

This year MaasSAC had the amazing opportunity to host this year’s NSK Lead. The day
was full of sweat, chalk, and of course climbing! But besides the amazing routes that there
were to climb, there were also some fun side quests to do. You could screen print your own
shirt, try to guess how much 10kg of pulling was, and do a super fun buddy boulder! After
all the hard climbing during the qualifications, we had some amazing food and good vibes
together. The day ended with a very exciting finale, where the women were so good that
they also got to climb the men’s route! And we had our very own commentator Stefan to
comment on all the amazing moves that were done.

Congratulations to the winners and thank you to everyone who showed up to support
MaasSAC at this event! Last, but certainly not least, we would like to thank the NSK Lead
Committee for all their hard and dedicated work to make this event happen!

And thank you to our members Linus and Marlena for documenting this day through some
amazing pictures and videos! If you haven’t seen those amazing shots yet, make sure to do
so at: https://nsk.alpenclub.nl/ or check some of them out here.

After this Great NSK Lead we headed out to the Workshop to
have our dies! If you don’t know what a dies is… well it’s the name
for the birthday (party) of an association. This year’s theme was
DIES of the Apes. There were a lot of bananas, some monkeys,
but mainly a lot of fun. We were graced with the attendance of the
NSAC board and some lovely people from ESAC. (It does not
happen often that other SACs travel all the way down to our
lovely town). There was singing, there was dancing, and if you
have all the FOMO right now, keep that in mind for our next
DIES!

Do your shoes need a new sole?

If you are thinking of having your climbing shoes resoled, have a look at the website of Curada.

Check out the prices, select a sole and acknowledge the tips under 'When to resole'.

We recommend that you ask in the Maassac Group chat, if somebody would like to join the resole order. This way you will reduce shipping cost and protect the enviroment.
