Bouldering

 

The Climbing Corner is our boulder gym, located in Heerlen and easily reachable by train (a 5-minute walk from Heerlen Woonboulevard station, as it is located next to it) or by carpooling organised through the WhatsApp group. When you arrive just check in at the front desk, if it is your first time, you will need a couple minutes to register. You can exercise, practice, and last but not least socialise. Here you will find everything a boulder-heart desires, from easy beginner’s routes to difficult problems that will take weeks of practice and endurance. IVY is the home of MaasSAC sports-climbing! 

 

Situated in the small town of Sittard, it is the biggest climbing hall in the Benelux. This is the place where you can show your top-rope and lead-climbing skills on various routes ranging from the 2nd all the way to the 8th grade for the real professionals. The best part? As a MaasSAC member, you climb for free on Thursdays! Join our MaasSAC Whatsapp Group to organize Carpooling; costs are shared between members. Since the completion of the new UM sports center, Maastricht University has a small but useful climbing wall! The wall gives you the chance to climb whenever you want and in between studying sessions and is used by MaasSAC for Courses. On Mondays, the wall is reserved for MaasSAC members exclusively. If it gets too crowded on Monday, you can kindly ask non-MaasSAC members to leave. However, if not all the routes are taken, try to work something out!

Radium Boulders

With your UM sports membership, you get a discount at Radium Boulders in Maastricht. Also in 2025, all UM SPORTS members with a valid membership pay a reduced rate of €8.00 for bouldering on Friday evening, Saturday evening and Sunday evening between 18.00 and 23.00.
